BIOGRAPHY

Michael Yu is the Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Molecular Pharmaceutics at The University of Utah and Co-Founder of 3Helix Inc. Research focuses on applying principles of protein folding and molecular assembly to biotechnology and nanotechnology, advancing innovative biomaterials and therapeutic technologies.

Michael leads work on peptide-based platforms including collagen hybridizing peptides designed to detect and study damaged collagen associated with disease and injury. These technologies support new approaches to diagnostics, targeted therapeutics, and biomaterials development across biomedical and pharmaceutical applications.
