BIOGRAPHY

Sagar Bhattacharya is a Connie and Bob Lurie Postdoctoral Fellow of the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of California, San Francisco. His research builds on his doctoral work at Syracuse University, where he explored peptide and protein design for novel catalytic reactions.

Sagar now focuses on de novo protein design in the DeGrado Lab, developing new approaches for enzyme catalysis and in vivo drug delivery. His work includes designing innovative delivery systems with potential applications in treating bacterial infections and cancer.
